Sikasil®-403 Fire – Fire-Rated Silicone Sealant 600 ml

Sikasil®-403 Fire fire-rated silicone sealant is a one-component, neutral-cure silicone joint sealant by Sika that cures with air moisture. It is designed for façade, cladding and concrete joints that require fire resistance of up to 4 hours according to EN 1366-4, while withstanding UV, heat and weathering in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.

How to Apply

1. Clean and dry the joint; remove oil, dust and loose particles.
2. Insert a closed-cell backer rod to set the joint depth.
3. Prime with Sika Primer-3 N on concrete and porous substrates, or Sika Aktivator-205 on aluminium and metals.
4. Gun the sealant into the joint and tool it before skinning (approx. 35 minutes).

Sikasil-403 Fire vs standard sealants

Standard silicones such as Sikasil WS-305 are for weather sealing, and Sikaflex Construction+ is a polyurethane for general movement joints. Sikasil-403 Fire is the choice where fire resistance is required in addition to weather sealing.

Is it suitable for swimming pools or natural stone?

No. It is not suitable for pools, permanently immersed joints, or natural stone, marble and bituminous substrates.
